Recreational

For girls aged 6 - 12 years old.

Basic skills required are: ability to swim 2 lengths or more, ability to glide or float on her front and back, and a level of comfort in deep water.

Recreational athletes will learn the basic skills of synchronized swimming in a fun, no pressure environment.  Throughout the session swimmers will participate in the Star Program, after completing star level 3 swimmers are encouraged to move to the Tier 1 competitive program or the pre-competitive program.

Pre-Competitive

For girls interested in swimming competitively in the future, the pre-competitive program offers girls the opportunity to participate in competitions through out the year as exhibition swimmers (pre-swimmers).

Basic skills required are: Previous experience in recreational program OR strong swimming skills.

Athletes participating in this program will train twice a week from September to April while learning the skills necessary to pass the Tier 1 test (Testing in April will be available).  Athletes will also have the opportunity to build routine skills through the development of a routine for presentation at Club Watershows as well as optional competitions through out the year.  This full year program is meant to introduce swimmers to synchronized swimming as a competitive sport, the girls have the opportunity to pre-swim at competitions (swim without competing in front of a panel of judges to help warm-up the panel for competition) so that they may enjoy all the fun of competitions, without the pressure of actually competing.

Pre-Competitive:

            Fridays 2:45pm - 5pm (2:45-3 stretching, 3-5 pool)

Cost:     $80/month

Plus one time Registration Fee of $70.  Includes Club Cap and Registration with Synchro Alberta and Synchro Canada.

Competitive

Note: All athletes are placed in Tiers by the level of the Stars they have completed.  Athletes without prior Synchro experience usually start in Tier 1.
